The Lighting Facts Partner Participation Manual

The Lighting Facts Partner Participation Manual (288 KB, PDF) describes program policies for all partner types.

How do you select the best in LED lighting?

Ask for the Lighting FactsCM label to compare products and manufacturer claims.

Taking the Lighting Facts pledge gives lighting professionals — lighting designers, specifiers, utilities, and energy efficiency organizations — access to the information they need to evaluate and select quality LED products. Use the Label Reference Guide to get the facts about selecting quality LED products with the Lighting Facts label.

Check out our partners. The partners page provides a searchable list of participating manufacturers and the LED products they offer.

Compare and evaluate products. The Residential Product Performance Scale (1.6MB, PDF) will help you compare performance values for the five characteristics identified on the Lighting Facts label for LED products and standard residential lighting technologies. In essence, the scale can help you evaluate LED products to determine whether they are appropriate for residential use.

Know when it's the real McCoy. The Lighting Facts label is registered to the U.S. Department of Energy. Only products that are registered and listed on the Lighting Facts Products List may use the Lighting Facts label provided to manufacturers, in accordance with program requirements. Any unauthorized use, reproduction, or recreation of this label will be subject to penalties for trademark infringement.
