How Do You Select the Best in LED Lighting?

The LED Lighting Facts Partner Participation Manual

The LED Lighting Facts Partner Participation Manual (694 KB, PDF) describes program policies for all partner types.

The LED Lighting Facts program provides the tools and resources Lighting Pro partners need to evaluate and select quality LED products. For the purpose of this program, "Lighting Pros" are defined as lighting designers, specifiers, educators, and anyone interested in documenting the performance of products they promote, select, or use.

Check out our partners. The partners tab on the left navigation bar provides a searchable list of participating manufacturers and the LED products they offer.

Compare and evaluate products. The Residential Product Performance Scale (300 KB, PDF) and Commercial Product Performance Scale (200 KB, PDF) will help you compare performance values for the five characteristics identified on the Lighting Facts label for LED products and standard residential and commercial lighting technologies. In essence, these scales can help you evaluate LED products to determine whether they are appropriate for the intended use.

Know when it's the real McCoy. The LED Lighting Facts label is registered to the U.S. Department of Energy. Only products that are registered and listed on the Lighting Facts Products List may use the Lighting Facts label provided to manufacturers, in accordance with program requirements. Any unauthorized use, reproduction, or recreation of this label will be subject to penalties for trademark infringement.
